WebPlan.in – WordPress Website Design & Development

I’ve been wondering since few days that what should be the name of my organization, after I recently came out of Blog Design Studio. Earlier I thought of the name HostWP, although that really didn’t cover everything that I could offer as services.

However, recently the name WebPlan.in struck my head and instantly I booked the domain and currently building the website. By the time we’ll complete it – i wanted to market the web design & development services in gurgaon, so I’ve created this presentation and have shared it on SlideShare.

What is WebPlan.in

It’s an agency that offers web design services specially in Delhi/NCR area and around the world. Our platform for website development is WordPress and even if we are building e-commerce websites, we only focus on using WordPress. This presentation explains that why we chose WordPress over all the available content management systems.

The name WebPlan.in kind of expresses that We help businesses plan their marketing on the web. Our mission is to become one of the biggest names in the WordPress community. We’ve also launched PhotoPress.in, which currently is going development under the banner of WebPlan.in

The new journey begins after Blog Design Studio and I’m already loving the way i’m going forward. Hopefully I’d be sharing more in future … for now… Adios!

The software is wrong, not the people.

This is one of the best quote that I’ve read! And the timing for this quote couldn’t be better.

It was a small moment at theĀ WordPress DC Meetup. One of the creators of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg, was in town. He had come to this monthly meeting at Fathom Creative to learn what the local community wanted in the next version of his web publishing software.

The media library in WordPress was discussed. Mullenweg admitted that it is confusing and gets difficult to manage once you have lots of images in the library. A man in the audience brought up a technical issue he had with the library. Mullenweg explained that you could actually do what the man wanted to in WordPress but stated:

The software is wrong, not the people. via – Joeflood

Indeed, Matt could have told the person the right way of doing it, instead he chose to say this statement! This is truly humble and shows his passion to make WordPress the best CMS in the world that people can use in the easiest ways. I say humble because WordPress is already the best CMS & easiest as well!

I must admit that Matt is indeed a true genius! When, I first met him @ WordCamp India, I was completely awed and couldn’t really have meaningful conversations with him about WordPress — I kind of feel sorry for that, however I hope that if I get to meet him again, then hopefully it’ll be more interesting :)

Sweet memory of mine & Quizzes on politicians – nice social idea

Good memories are something that you cherish all your life, be it small or be it big and so I decided to share one of the good memories that I experienced long time back and also thought of discussing politics (that I really don’t do much). Ok coming back to my good ol’ memory..

I clearly remember that how I was jumping with joy and was telling my whole family (we live in a joint family) about the Rs. 100 Cheque that I got as a prize from Contest2Win.com. I was like just another teenager who stole money from house (yeah! I’ve done this sin too) to play video games and to go to internet cafes and do all sorts of stuff on the internet [now I think that may be - jo hota hai acche ke liye hota hai, at least - internet is now paying me back more than what I spent on it :) ]. I got the prize because, I was the first guy to cast the vote in one the polls they had and that’s about 7-8 yrs. back. The cheque came in my name and was account payee and to ensure that I don’t get disheartened, my dad gave me Rs. 100 saying that he’ll be able to en-cash it (he’s such a sweet heart). And guess what… what did I do with that money??? Spent it on internet to play more games on C2W :P

Why I decided to talk about this sweet little memory of mine? Well, I’m in mumbai and one of my dear friends, Ankita told me about this India Votes Campaign that was launched by Contest2Win and suddenly that memory of mine started floating in front of my eyes and thought that I’ll surely blog about it.. I anyway don’t have much things to do in this flat that Manik is graciously letting me share with him for 15 days! So cool of him! Thanks bro!

After I checked the campaign, I found it cool and thought that I should talk about it on my blog too and so here’s little commentary about it :) Well, no matter what – things have changed in last 7-8 yrs. coz at least now the prize money has gone up from Rs. 100 to rs. 1500 :) [who's complaining about recession ?:P]

This little contest is actually a nice initiative that lets you create and take quizzes about the politicians that you know or like. I took few quizzes and found a great deal about the politicians and after taking the quiz, I started reading more about those politicians and I can surely say that – I came to know a great deal about them and probably will effect my decision too.

ciao for now… see ya later!
